Peter Kang started teaching tennis in the hotbeds of Indianapolis tennis, The Indianapolis Racquet Club and North Central High School while still in junior high school. He went on to be the first seeded player at the University of Chicago and the highlight of his competitive college tennis was leading his team to a conference championship.

Having witnessed the tremendous variety of styles and players of all levels, Coach Peter has the ability to adapt to a players style and is not rigid in his coaching technique.

Coach Peter is a master of tennis fundamentals, the constants of the game, and uses single purpose drills t0 explain the mechanics. Coach Peter uses his experience and insight to identify a single aspect of the game and build up your stroke, understanding, and clean hitting. His classic teaching helps students understand and develop a feel and intuition for tennis.

Coach Peter loves the health benefits, the social connections, the fun and positive energy tennis brings to all players. He believes it’s not only apples, but a life of well hit balls that keeps the doctor away. All positives that make tennis deserving of its status as the most popular and beloved individual sport in the world today.

Coach Peter is bilingual in English and Korean. He teaches out of Monterey Park and also serves the Inland Empire including Upland, Claremont, Azusa, Glendora, Irwindale, Covina, and West Covina.

He has a federal background check in to teach on school campuses and currently coaches students from age 6 to adult.

PRIVATE LESSONS $80/hour donation

Private Lessons are available with Coach Peter through LoveSetMatch Tennis for $80 an hour. Semi Private lessons are $50 per person up to 4 people.

Strike, Zelle, Paypal are also secondary options if Zelle is not available. Email us if you have any questions. Cash and check is only accepted in prepayment and not on the day of the lesson.

Tennis is one of the safest fitness activities during the Covid Pandemic. We practice safe coaching through social distancing and the use of a mask and hand sanitizer.

** 48-hour cancelation policy: Your appointment is very important to us and it is reserved especially for you. We realize that there can be some unexpected things that can come up in our lives. While truly sympathetic. When a client cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another client from being coached during that time. In fairness to all clients as well as to the coach, this policy is in effect regardless of the reason for the cancellation. LoveSetMatch Tennis has a minimum of 48 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy.

If an appointment is missed, canceled, or changed with less than 48 hours notice of the Lesson time, the client will be charged 100% of the lesson charge. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to reschedule a lesson time with only 48 hours notice so sadly that income would be lost. We truly appreciate your support of our livelihood in honoring your commitment to a lesson or supporting us when you can not. All sessions are paid for in advance and only lessons reserved via payment at least 48 hours before the lesson date are guaranteed reserved. Thanks so much for understanding and honoring this policy.
