FEDERER GOING FOR FOUR: Federer has a 36-9 career record in Madrid and is looking to win the title for the fourth time. He won here on hard courts in 2006 (d. Gonzalez) and on clay courts in 2009 (d. Nadal) and 2012 (d. Berdych). He was also runner-up in 2007 and 2010. In his last Madrid appearance two years ago, he lost to Nishikori in the 3R. The world No. 2 is chasing a 24th ATP Masters 1000 crown this week. Djokovic joined him on 23 titles at this level with his victory in Monte-Carlo last month.
