ROME DRAW Indepth look
Good draw for Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer that should allow them to reach the quarters in Rome. Djokovic was not so lucky starting with a possible clash against (the very dangerous) Stanislas Wawrinka, who is playing a great tennis at the moment reaching the finals in Madrid. Djokovic will play Wawrinka in his second match.
Of special interest in the up and coming category, Dimitrov will play against his good friend Marcus Baghdatis in the first round and then play either Querrey or Gasquet. Janowicz will play a qualifier in the first round to play Tsonga in the second round. Tomic won’t participate to the tournament and we have to wonder if it is due to all the drama or T-rama surrounding Bernard and his father.
The Italians have something to look forward to as their best players, Seppi and Fognini, will compete each other in the first round.
